Matte Painting

Here are some of the Pics I found online.

 

I crop MBS and Singapore Flyer plus color grade.

 Combined MBS and Singapore Flyer.

Added into After Effect with the clip. I rotoscope out the unwanted portion and track it.

*Monday & Tuesday I'll do some touch up on my Matte Painting and Color Grade the Film.

Moving WANTED POSTER

Initially, my plan was to generate a still WANTED poster. After a few thoughts, I remembered how Harry Potter portrayed their WANTED POSTERS. For example, in the one of the series, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", Sirius Black moves inside the WANTED poster. Instead of making a still poster, I feel that it would be interesting to make a moving poster. I don't want to just show a still poster to bore the audience. Alternatively, I want the audiences to be interested in our film. Visual Effects is more than just making fixed and boring effects, it is about creating brand new ideas and effects.

I have also done some research on the WANTED poster shot.

SIRIUS BLACK WANTED POSTER

This is not the best example but it is somehow what I want to achieve. :)

Since our film's theme is more to the SCI-FI theme, so I thought of integrating SCI-FI into the poster.

SCI-FI poster for STAR WARS

The moving wanted poster will be a mixture of both posters shown above. I will experiment the moving wanted poster soon.

EXT. DARK ALLEY – NIGHT (FLASHBACK)

GARY and KARL runs through a DARK ALLEY, constantly turning their heads to check behind them. They split up at a cross junction. Suddenly, a loud gunshot shocked Gary. CAMERA DOLLYS INTO Gary’s eye and DOLLYS OUT to the next scene.   (TRANSITION)

EXT. CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT – DAY

REVEALS a BUS-STOP near the CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT.

LONG SHOT on GARY MOD walking through the bus-stop and TOWARDS the CAMERA. The billboard FLICKERS and flashes a poster of a wanted man named LEE COOPER, Gary turns around and looks at the billboard.

CAMERA DOLLYS OUT and UP showing Gary turning and looking around the surroundings as all the billboards in the city district flash the same posters.

CUT to MEDIUM CLOSE-UP on Gary as he walks away and passes the CAMERA.

CAMERA ZOOMS INTO billboard as the poster TRANSITS into the title of the film, “THE WATCHER”.

EXT. STREETS – DAY

Gary walks OUT and AWAY from the camera.

CUT to OVER-SHOULDER SHOT on Gary as he activates his phone. On his phone, Gary can be seen scrolling and searching online about Lee. Gary immediately tracks down Lee’s location. Gary then switches off his device and walks away from the scene.

CUTS TO:

EXT. DARK ALLEY – NIGHT

Lee walks inside an alley, TOWARDS the camera. Gary suddenly appears from a corner and blocks Lee’s way. At the same time, Gary cocks and points a gun at Lee. Lee runs at the sight of Gary. Gary gives chase.

Lee runs through the alley, constantly looking back. As soon as he lost sight of Gary, Lee stops to catch his breath. Lee sees a pair of shoes in front of him. He slowly looks up and sees Gary. Upon seeing Gary, Lee steps back a few steps.

GARY MOD

I’ve been searching for you for a long time.

LEE COOPER

Who are you? I don’t know you.

GARY MOD

Maybe this will make you remember.

Lee pushes Gary away but Gary swiftly tackled him and pins him against the wall. Lee struggles to break free.

Without hesitation, Gary knocks Lee unconscious.

CUTS TO:

EXT. DARK ROOM – NIGHT

A blinding light shines brightly on Lee, Lee regains consciousness. Lee slowly opens his eyes as a silhouette draws in. Lee sees Gary standing right in front of him, holding onto a hand gun. Tied up to a chair, Lee struggles to break free. At that instant, Gary points the gun at Lee’s head.

LEE COOPER

Who exactly are you? Why are you doing this to me?

GARY MOD

Don’t you remember, you killed my best friend five years ago.

CUTS TO:

EXT. DARK ALLEY – NIGHT (FLASHBACK)

Upon seeing Gary and Karl splitting up, Lee decides to chase after Karl. Lee raises his gun and shoots Karl in his back. Karl falls onto the ground.

At the same time, Gary continues to run to the end of the alley, trying to escape from Lee. A LOUD DEAFENING SOUND can be heard from a distance. Gary turns around and witness Karl lying motionless on the ground.

Lee catches up with Karl. Smiling sinisterly, Lee raises his GUN and shoots Karl again.

FADES OUT:

EXT. DARK ROOM – DAY

Gary looks raged.

GARY MOD

You killed my best friend. And now it’s time for you to pay for your crimes!

Gary points the gun at Lee’s head. Staring at the gun barrel, Lee shuts his eyes tight and prepares to be shot. Gary pulls the trigger but only the clicking sound is heard. Shocked to be alive, Lee slowly opens his eyes.

At the same moment, distinct siren can be heard from a distance.

GARY MOD

I won’t become you. I will let the law deal with a monster like you.

Gary runs towards a back door and escapes from the scene. Soon after, Police arrives.

FADE TO BLACK

DAY 1 Planning and Scheduling
For Today we went to the actual location to take photos for the scenes for references and plan the shots

Locations will be filming will be Central Business Distract (Raffles Place)
                                                Streets (Marina Bay Sands)
                                                 Dark Alley (Raffles Place)
